FCT NATIVES MARGINALIZATION PROTEST



The original inhabitants of the FCT on Tuesday 13th June, 2017 started a protest at the national assembly complex. Three arms zone, Abuja.
The protest walk began from as early as 7: 00am to the national assembly complex where the Abuja Natives barricaded the entrance of the national assembly preventing movement from going inn and going out until the leadership of the national Assembly delegate the senate committee chairman senator Dino malayi to address the crowed that have gathered to want their greavances.

 


The protest which was led by the conveners, comrade Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf (aka Buhun Barkonu ) stated that they are protesting the continues marginalization of FCT natives in the scheme of the nation such as been stateless, lack of second tier of administration in FCT. Appointment of FCT natives as a minister in federal executive council among many others.
 He called for fair and equal treatment of Abuja natives who sacrified their ancestral land for the unity of the country.

He was much impressed with the maturity by which they conducted themselves throughout the protest he assured  the people that he will do all within his powers to carry the message to the president and to ensure that their graveness are addressed.
He further appeals to them to be patience and maintain peace in all their activities.
The protest was the most coordinated Crowder in the recent time. The protestances enjoyed the protection of the security agencies and ended peacefully and successfully.
