Nigerian Acting President Prof . Yemi Osinbajo shoped at Garki market
Nigeria Ag President Prof . Yemi Osinbajo who went shoping at the porpular Garki Market attracted a large turnout of traders, shoppers and others who happily welcomed him and everyone who came with Him to the market.
The Ag. president who arrived at the market about 3:10 pm yesterday and spent 40 minutes interacting with traders who complained about high cost of goods and shops despite the challenges in the country.
He interacted with a fish seller who seized the oppoturnity to seek government’s intervention to reduce the high cost of the shop rent which is N250,000 per annum to a considerate lower and affordable rate.
Osinbajo promised to talk to the market management on the high cost of rent but he also encourage the traders and all other Nigerians to go into farming.
“The more we farm the cost of products will come down”.
He told reporters after the visit that he wanted to feel the pulse of Nigerians and hear directly from the people.
The Acting President said he took the opportunity to have one on one with the people and gave the assurance that the administration was committed to improving the economy and ensure better life.
Osinbajo encouraged the traders to keep the prices of products affordable as Muslims kick start this year’s Ramadan
